More About PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) Blood Test
PCOS can affect multiple areas of health, including fertility, metabolism, and hormone balance.
Hormonal imbalances — particularly increased androgen (male hormone) levels — may contribute to many of the common symptoms associated with PCOS.
This test helps:
- Identify hormonal patterns linked to PCOS
- Assess related health risks such as cholesterol imbalance
- Provide clarity on potential next steps
While blood testing can provide strong indicators, diagnosis of PCOS is usually based on a combination of symptoms, blood results, and clinical assessment.
