Our Angel Bears is a compassionate community made up of parents, partners, and friends who have experienced the deep sorrow of losing a baby, child, or pregnancy. Many in our team have endured different types of loss, so we understand just how overwhelming and isolating it can feel. Whether your grief is recent or decades old, we hope our resources bring you even a small sense of comfort.
Our mission is to provide online emotional support to families grieving the loss of a baby or child due to miscarriage, preterm birth, compassionate induction (also known as TFMR), stillbirth, neonatal death, SIDS, illness, or accidents. While we’re not qualified bereavement professionals, we aim to connect families with trusted organisations that can offer specialist help, and we are here to guide you toward the right support.
Group B Strep Support is a UK-based charity dedicated to protecting babies from group B Strep infections. Group B Streptococcus (GBS or Strep B) is a common bacteria carried unknowingly by around 2 to 4 in every 10 women. While carrying GBS usually causes no symptoms or harm to the mother, it can lead to serious, potentially life-threatening infections in newborns — such as sepsis, pneumonia, or meningitis — particularly around the time of birth.
Although many GBS infections in babies can be prevented, routine screening for GBS is not currently offered by the NHS. To learn more about group B Strep and how to reduce the risks, visit gbss.org.uk.

About the Maternal Mental Health Alliance
The Maternal Mental Health Alliance (MMHA) is a UK-wide charity and network of over 130 member organisations, parents, and clinicians dedicated to ensuring all women and families impacted by perinatal mental health problems have access to high-quality, compassionate care and support. We bring the maternal mental health community together and make change happen by combining the power of real-life experience with clinical and professional expertise.
Why we exist
#Women, babies, and their families are suffering right now. We won’t stop until every woman and family in the UK gets the perinatal mental health care and support they need, before, during and after pregnancy.
How we drive change
We speak with one voice. United by our core aims, we work collectively to maximise impact. We harness our shared expertise, energy and passion to drive the change needed for the mental health needs of women and their families in the perinatal period.
Our story
We are proud to be supporting over 250 mothers and their familieswith maternal mental health every year. Since MumsAid was established in 2012, we have grown from a small start up to a well-established and award-winning charity that has achieved national recognition. We reach women who wouldn’t normally access counselling and support couples with the transition to parenthood.
Our work is founded on the belief that early identification of and support for perinatal mental health difficulties is critical. We have seen how the right support makes a difference, not just to mothers but also to the healthy emotional development of their babies and the wellbeing of their families.
Dedicated to removing barriers that prevent women seeking help, we train frontline professionals in perinatal mood disorders and challenge the stigma that surrounds postnatal depression.
Our Mission
To improve the experience and alleviate the suffering of all those affected by pregnancy sickness, including hyperemesis gravidarum (HG). We exist to champion the needs of those suffering with nausea and vomiting in pregnancy and HG, and to empower healthcare professionals via evidence based research to provide the standard of care and treatment that all sufferers deserve.
