How do I book a blood test?

Booking is simple. You can choose your test online and select a convenient appointment time at our clinic. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive full details along with any preparation instructions. TBC with Timely otherwise change to call us on 01244 816922 or message via FB/Insta etc..

How long does it take to receive my results?

Most results are available within 3–5 working days from when your sample reaches the laboratory. Some specialised tests may take slightly longer, and this will be clearly stated on the test page.

Do I need to fast before my blood test?

Some tests require fasting for 8–12 hours, while others do not. Any preparation requirements will be clearly shown on the individual test page and in your booking confirmation email.

What will my results include?

Your results will include a clear breakdown of each biomarker tested, along with a GP-reviewed commentary to help you understand what your results may mean.

Are these blood tests a diagnosis?

No — these tests are screening tools designed to provide insight into your health. They are not intended to provide a formal diagnosis. If any results fall outside of the expected range, we recommend discussing them with your GP or healthcare professional for further advice and next steps.

Can I take these tests at home or do I need to attend the clinic?

Probably change this to in clinic ONLY…..Some tests are available as home testing kits, while others are carried out in-clinic. This will be clearly stated on each test page so you can choose the option that suits you best.

Who processes my blood sample?

All samples are processed by our trusted laboratory partner, Goodbody Clinic, ensuring high standards of accuracy and reliability.

What happens if my results are abnormal?

If any of your results fall outside the expected range, your report will highlight this and include guidance within the GP commentary. We would always recommend sharing your results with your GP, who can provide further assessment or arrange additional testing if needed.

Are blood tests suitable for everyone?

Most of our blood tests are suitable for adults aged 18 and over. If there are any specific restrictions or requirements, these will be clearly outlined on the individual test page.

Will my results be confidential?

Yes — your results are handled securely and confidentially. They will only be shared with you, unless you choose to share them with your GP or another healthcare professional.

How accurate are the blood tests?

Our blood tests are processed by a Care Quality Commission (CQC) & UKAS accredited laboratory using clinically validated methods and analysers that are laboratory-standard in quality, reliability and accuracy to ensure the same high level of accuracy and reliability that you would expect from any healthcare facility. However, it’s important to understand that these tests are screening tools, providing a snapshot of your health at the time of testing. Results can sometimes be influenced by factors such as diet, medications, timing of the test, or natural biological variation. For this reason, results should be interpreted alongside your symptoms and medical history. If you have any concerns about your results, we recommend discussing them with your GP or healthcare professional, who can provide further guidance or arrange additional testing if needed.
